1. What types of neurofeedback exist?
Conventional neurofeedback based on brainwave mapping was the first type available, requiring EEG interpretation and development of a treatment plan. In recent years, as technology has developed, direct neurofeedback has become an option: here the machine instantly receives brainwaves and delivers a tiny signal back to the sensors. Examples are LENS and Neurogen high performance neurofeedback amongst others. Another form of non-linear neurofeedback is Neuroptimal, based on an auditory method.
2. What is neurogen hpn neurofeeback?
Neurofeedback is a type of noninvasive therapy where electrodes with brain wave sensors are placed on your scalp and ears. These sensors analyze your neural pathways and then proceed to offer new, healthier and more efficient pathways. It is the job of neurofeedback to alter any harmful, stuck patterns we have and replace them with positive ones. During a session, brain connections are analyzed while we assess these on a computer. Once harmful connections are discovered, new ones can take their place. Neuroplasticity, or our ability to change how we think, feel and react to something, is the goal of neurofeedback.
3. How does neurogen hpn neurofeebdack work?
Neurofeedback works by using electrodes, or sensors, on the scalp that will monitor your brain waves. The machine delivers a tiny microcurrent, smaller than 1000th of an AA battery, to the sensors. Unhealthy or inefficient pathways will be replaced with new brainwave patterns that with time and repeated sessions will become your new normal
4. What conditions does neurofeedback help?
Neurofeedback has had great success in providing relief from the following conditions:
Addiction, Anxiety or PTSD, Depression, Attention Deficits, Brain injury, Stroke, Concussion, Insomnia, Cognitive Decline, Chronic Pain, some types of Migraines, and more. Neurofeedback has been shown to enhance athletic and academic performance.

5. How safe is neurofeedback?
Neurofeedback is extremely safe. The signal that is sent to your brain is much weaker than the signal you receive from using your cellphone. As you undergo treatment you will not feel any pain or discomfort from the sensors; in fact, the process is often considered relaxing. A few people may feel sleepy, spacy, wired or tired afterwards for a few hours. Adjustments to treatment can be made at subsequent visits.
6. How often do I need to come for treatments?
It is recommended that sessions occur once or twice per week at first, or as recommended by our clinicians.
7. How long are the treatment sessions?
After the initial session with a physician, subsequent visits will be 30 minutes.
8. How soon will I notice a change?
Noticing change from neurofeedback can even occur during your first treatment. Most people can tell a difference after 1 – 4 sessions. Often family or friends notice a change first. Initial improvement is temporary, and up to 20 sessions may be required to achieve permanent results.
9. Do I need a referral?
You do not need a referral to receive neurofeedback therapy at our clinic. Please contact our office to book an appointment.
10. What does neurofeedback cost?
We strongly recommend everyone start with the 10-pack.
Long-term results are much more likely with 15 - 20 sessions.
10-pack $995
5-pack $595
Single treatment $135
